Robert Braham Indianapolis, IN - Robert (Bob) Malcolm Braham of Indianapolis passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on March 30, 1947, to Chester Braham and Marie (Herklotz) Piber. He had fond memories of living in Ohio and was a lifelong Ohio State Football and Basketball fan.
Bob studied at Grace College and began his career working in a Christian bookstore. He eventually owned his own automotive parts store and then transitioned to consulting as an Oracle database administrator where he supported several major corporations in Indiana. Bob always had a servant’s heart living out his faith in the Gospel by serving whether it be at a youth group camp with his kids, in a choir, cooking food at a men’s breakfast, or burgers for his RC Plane Club.
Recently Bob volunteered at Shepherd Community Center and with Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic in Indianapolis. Bob was always a part of his church, most recently attending both Redeemer Presbyterian Church with his daughter and Horizon Christian Fellowship with friends.
Bob is survived by his children Erin Hall and Matthew Braham (Jessica) and his sister Joyce Royer, as well as his grandchildren, Jacqueline Hall and Liam, Molly and Emeline Braham. His nephews and nieces Russ (Judy), Andrew (Melody), Monica, and Bryan (Christy) Royer and Dawn Smith (Jeremy), Denise McComas (Clay), and Chad (Becca) Braham. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Chet Braham and David Braham.
Visitation will be held both on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 1505 N Delaware St, Indianapolis, IN 46202. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Graveside Service and Burial to follow at Washington Park North Cemetery. Thanks to all of the wonderful caregivers at St Vincents Hospital, Robin Run, and Spring Mill Meadows and to all the wonderful family support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Indianapolis Children's Choir, Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic, or Shepherd Community Center.
