Robert “Bob” Arthur Shoop, 75, of Westfield, Indiana passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 at
St. Vincent’s Hospice of Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born on December 24, 1944 in East Chicago, Indiana, to the late Byron and Margaret Shoop.
Bob married Carol Winegardner on October 9, 1966 at Antioch Church of Christ near Hoopeston, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Carol and their 3 children, Brian Shoop (Krista Parker) of Noblesville, IN, Darrell (Angie) Shoop of Murphysboro, IL and Heather (Jared) Duzan of Lebanon, IN; 4 grandchildren, David (Amber), Jennifer, Zach, and Sammy and great-grandson, Percy. He is also survived by his brother, Don and his sister Dian.
Bob graduated from Cincinnati Bible Seminary and was a part-time minister in Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois. He also worked at ESCO in Danville, Illinois and Portland, Oregon before retiring.
Bob loved the Lord and his family. He enjoyed teaching others about the Bible and Christ’s love in Sunday School. He also loved fishing, hiking and oil painting.
He was president of the Art Guild in Scottsville, Kentucky.
Visitation will be at Flanner Buchanan in Zionsville, IN at 1pm (EST) on Tuesday, September 15. Burial will follow at 2pm (EST) at Salem Cemetery in Zionsville, IN.
