Robert B. Wagner (Lt. Col USAF, Ret.), 82 of Carmel,passed away Friday, January 1, 2016 at his home. Bob was born December 19, 1933 in Omaha, NEto the late Robert and Louise Wagner. Hegraduated from Cathedral High School and the University of Nebraska atOmaha. Bob was an Air Force AviationCadet from December 1954 to March 1956 earning his Navigator wings. Following five years as aNavigator/Bombardier in B-57’s, he completed pilot training in June 1962. He then served 15 years as a Command Pilot inC-130’s flying many combat sorties serving two tours in Vietnam. Bob is alsoretired from Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Bob was a charter member of St. Elizabeth Ann SetonCatholic Church, Military Officers Association of America, the Carmel AmericanLegion Post 155 and the DAV.
A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 6 at 10:30am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, where family and friends maycall from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Robert T. andJames M. Wagner; sisters, Beverly Yager and Mary Virginia (husband, Darrel)Williamsen. He was preceded in death byhis sisters, Patricia Jones and Rosemary Wagner.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Society of St.Vincent DePaul or the American Lung Association.
