Robert A. Lawrence,

93, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on July 10, 2019. He was born on March 8, 1926 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the Late Ralph and Stella Lawrence. Robert served his country in the United States Navy, worked as a Service Manager for Royal typewriters, and also worked in computer repairs at Indianapolis Public Schools. He had many hobbies, including art, jewelry, fishing, camping, and was a Master Carver. Robert was also active in several organizations: Kiwanis, V.F.W., Circle City Carvers of Indianapolis, and the Boy Scouts of America.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife of 55 years, Erma M. Lawrence. He is survived by a dear friend of several years, Lynn Rozzel; his children: Linda Lawrence and Michael (Kris) Lawrence; grandchildren: Julie (Nick) Minder and Stephen (Christina) Courtney; and great-grandchildren: Courtney Minder, Carleigh Minder, Tori Minder, Abby Minder, Audrey Minder, and Savannah Courtney.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 13, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. A Funeral Service will follow visitation at the funeral home at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kiwanis of Carmel, 15120 Count Fleet Ct., Carmel, IN 46032 or to Circle City Carvers.
