Robert A. "Bob" Kelsey

Indianapolis -69, Bob, a gentle soul, went to heaven on Sunday,May 1, 2022, with his loving family by his side.
Bob was born on March 3, 1953, in South Bend, IN to the late Willard “Bud” A. and Eileen M. (Crutchett) Kelsey. He graduated from IUSB and Purdue University where he received his bachelor’s in environmental engineering. Bob was a strong protector of our environment where he practiced his vocation for 35years working at IDEM and Quemetco. Bob was a faithful follower of Christ and was an active member of the former St. Andrews Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder, Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher. More recently he and Holly began attending Fairview Presbyterian Church.
Bob loved the outdoors and there are great memories of hiking trips, camping adventures, water sports, snow skiing and church softball. A former high school stand out in sports, Bob was also a big sports fan and especially an avid Purdue fan!

Bob had a big, giving heart and he loved being with family and friends. He had a positive outlook on life and always treated people with kindness and respect. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kathleen M. Porter.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Holly (Blondell)Kelsey;
Sons, Drew A. Kelsey (Laura) and Aaron M. Kelsey (Nicole Ellison); sister, Patricia Cooper of Milton, KY; brother, William “Bill” M. Kelsey of Glendale, AZ; 7 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews and a host of loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 6-8pm at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd West Dr, and Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 11-1pm at Fairview Presbyterian Church 4609 N. Capitol Ave. A Celebration of Bob’s life will begin at 1pm at the church.
