Rita J George

Rita J. George 89 passed away on April 18,2018 Ashford Place  in Shelbyville IN. She was born to the late Elmer and Elizabeth Faires on September 30, 1928. She married the love of her life the late Spurgeon (Spud) George in 1947. Rita worked as a CNA for St Francis Hospital for over 20 years and then returning to volunteer for 10 years.Rita loved to read,cook,sew and bake and also doing crossword puzzles.But most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by daughters Sharon (David)Smith, Donna (Paul) Berns, Terry (John) May, sons Steven(Paula)George and Brian(Nanette) George. She loved her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Donations can be made to the Beech Grove Senior Citizens Center. Services are private.
