Ricky "Rick" Rea Bartl

Ricky “Rick” Rea Bartl, 71, of Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022. He was born on July 25, 1951, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to parents, James Bartl and Marilyn (Barnes) Sisco. After graduating from Lawrence Central High School, Ricky honorably served his country in the National Guard. He then worked as a machine repairman for Ford Motors for 30 years before retiring. Ricky adored nothing more than spending loving time with his family and grandkids. Family meant everything to him. He also enjoyed participating in many tournaments for bowling, golfing, and cornhole. When it came to sports, you could catch him cheering on his favorite teams, the New York Yankees, Indianapolis Colts, and the Indiana Pacers. He was also a member of the UAW Local 1111. Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Diane Bartl; daughter, Robyn (Tony) Zacharias; stepdaughter, Danielle (Brandon) Rush; stepson, Christopher (Susan) Kirkham; grandchildren, Brayden, Mae, Carter, Brooks and Beckett; sisters, Sherrie Friedrich and Vicki Romeril; family pet, Izzy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Maxine Bartl and John and Marilyn Sisco. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 11am-2pm at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East– 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229, with a funeral service immediately following at 2pm. Entombment will immediately follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the American Heart Association or any Humane Society of your choosing.
