Ricky Dean Martin, Sr.

Ricky Dean Martin, Sr., age 60 of Martinsville passed away on May 23, 2016. He was born February 26, 1956 in Indianapolis to Roy and Bonnie Martin. He graduated from Martinsville High School and worked at General Motors, retiring in 1996 after 30 years of service. Because of his love for fishing, he was a member of the Conservation Club. He enjoyed playing pool at the Martinsville Moose Lodge. He also loved playing cards, and playing his guitar but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to tell jokes to make people laugh.

Rick is preceded in death by his father, Roy and two of his brothers, David and Robert. Surviving to cherish his memory are his Mother, Bonnie Martin, children, Missy (Sam) Philpott and Ricky Dean (Laura) Martin II, ex-wife, Cindy Martin, brother, Rodney (Kathy) Martin, sister, Shannon (Denny) Wiggins and grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Bryan, Bryce, Sarah, Kirstin and McKenzie.

Friends may visit from 2-6 PM Monday, May 30, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis. A celebration of his life will be at 10 AM Tuesday at the funeral center. Interment will be in West Newton Cemetery. Friends may sign Rick’s online guest registry at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
