Richard -Tyler- Buchanan

January 18, 1986 — October 22, 2016

Richard “Tyler” Buchanan,

Passed away on October 22, 2016. He was born on January 18, 1986 to father, Richard “Rick” (Lisa Nelson) Buchanan and mother, Nancy Scheible, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tyler was raised in Indianapolis with his sisters Courtney Thayer (Doug) and Tiffany Buchanan, and his step-siblings, Ashley Barber (Brandon) and Kyle Nelson. Tyler was a farmer at heart, and loved being out in the fields. He spent all the time he could outdoors, from working, to boating, camping, and tubing. He enjoyed BMX and Fox Racing, and was crazy about 3-wheelers. He could fix just about anything. He worked on customizing old Chevy cars, trucks, diesel engines, and even his brother-in-law’s Honda! He was willing to help out anyone who needed it, even if that meant driving a truck and trailer from Indiana all the way to California. He loved his mom’s cooking – especially her deviled eggs. Tyler cared for animals of any kind, from every day pets like cats and dogs, to more exciting animals like a baby coyote. He recently lost his beloved German Shepard, Bud. He was a kind person who loved his family, and he will be greatly missed.

Tyler is preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Allene Buchanan, and Charles and Evelyn Scheible. Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, his siblings, and his nieces and nephews, Alexandra Thayer, Ethan Buchanan, and Chance Barber; his aunts, Christine “Chris” Buchanan, Karen (Ron) Thiesman, Teari Scheible, and Cheryl (Donnie) Davis; his uncles, Mark Buchanan, Tom (Elizabeth) Neylon, Kenny Neylon, Danny Neylon, and Mike Neylon; Grandma Pat; and many other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Tyler’s Life will take place from 2:00pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. Please share memories and condolences with his family at www.flannerbuchanan.com
