Richard Townsend

78, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on December 23, 2020.  Richard was born on July 15, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Edwina and Henry Townsend.  He retired from Bill Lawrence Company, Local 47 after 37 years there.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  He loved to dance, sing and play cards.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon Kay “Meme” Townsend and siblings, Rosemary, Gene, Leroy and Doris.  He is survived by his children, Sherrie (Ted) Addair and Ritchie (Kathy) Townsend; grandchildren, Brandy, Michael, Jacob, Andrew and Raychel; step-grandchildren, Christopher and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Devin, Kailynn, Brooklyn, A.J., Cameron, Gavyn, Cadyn, Nikolas, Christopher and Emmett and sisters, Marion Price and Helen Crow.  Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from noon till 2 pm with services at 2 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park.  Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
