Richard "Rick" L Chew

Richard “Rick” L. Chew, 69, passed away June 29^th, 2021. He was born December 28^th, 1951 in Indianapolis, to parents Ralph and Anatha Jane (Mize) Chew. Rick attended Arsenal Tech high school. On March 28^th, 1992, Rick married the love of his life, and longtime girlfriend Jeanie Frazier. They shared over 40 wonderful years together. Jeanie passed away February 3^rd, 2018. He worked in maintenance at the Chamber of Commerce for over 30 years, a job he excelled at and enjoyed. Rick worked at Dennison’s Parking and several other places as well, even after retiring. Rick was a loving, hardworking gentleman. He liked to stay busy, working, and tinkering around the house. Rick also enjoyed traveling. Rick adored his family and was a wonderful husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rick is survived by his children Lisa Hoskins, Misty Chew, Tommy (Lindsay) Chew, David (Sue Ann) Sosbe; his grandchildren Sheena East, Jaida Wells, Thomas Michael Chew, David Jr. Sosbe, and Chelseigh Pinegar; and great-grandchildren Bronxton, Knighten, and Elijah. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Jeanie Chew; and several dearly missed siblings. Visitation for Rick will be Tuesday, July 6^th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 10am-12pm. His funeral will begin at 12pm. Rick will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
