Richard M. Thompson Sr.,

91, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 25, 2018. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on April 27, 1927, the son of Maurice and Jessie “Betty” Thompson.

Richard was a business owner for over 33 years on the west side of Indianapolis. He was an avid boater that enjoyed the water and introducing others to the sport. Other hobbies also included construction and racing.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Jean Thompson. He is survived by sons and daughter in laws, Richard Jr., Terry and Vickie, Brian and Cathy, Kelly and Emily; grandchildren, Jeremy, Shawn, Josh, Shandra, and Christina.

Richard “Dick” was loved and revered by everyone whose life he touched or path he crossed with infinite wisdom and knowledge about everything. He will be forever loved and missed beyond what words could express.
