Richard Lowell Jacobs

Richard Lowell Jacobs was born February 12, 1931 in Richmond, IN

A graduate from Shortridge High School in 1949 and attended Butler University.  After his three years in the Coast Guard, Dick worked as an accountant for Allison Transmission in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Dick has been married 69 years to Jacqueline Lucille Layton Jacobs.  They have three children: William Jacobs, Sally Bassett (son-in-law Dennis Bassett), and Julianne Wright (son-in-law Ron Wright).  He has seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Dick was a longtime member and treasurer of St Andrew Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, an avid golfer, reader, and had a strong love for animals and working on his puzzles.

Services will be Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 12 pm with visitation from 10 am at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
