Richard L. Thompson

Richard L. Thompson, age 91, of Fishers, IN, passed away April 5, 2018. Richard was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 10, 1927 to his parents, Nile and Elsie Thompson.  Upon graduating from high school, Richard served his country honorably in the US Navy, during WWII.  During his career, Richard was Partner/Manager of Just Add Water Boats.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 155; he loved all sports, and was especially an avid golfer and fisherman.  He also enjoyed playing cards.

Richard will be lovingly missed by his wife of 38 years, Janet (Satterly) Thompson; his children, Theresa Trusty (Joel), Richard L. Thompson, Jr. (Kathy) and Tammy Younts (Jim); grandchildren: Brock, Blaire, Jamie (Darin), Aaron, Tristin (Chase), Abbie, Alexis and Stephen; great-grandchidlren: Henry, Emmett, Dahlia and Arlo; his siblings: Louise Williams, Don Thompson and Robert Thompson; and his faithful companion, Gysmo.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Nile and Elsie and his sister, Edith Whiteside.

Friends may gather from 2pm until 3pm, Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), where his memorial service will follow immediately at 3pm.  Inurnment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
