Richard Denver "Dickie" Freund, Jr.

Richard Denver “Dickie” Freund, Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on November 29, 1956, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Richard D. Freund, Sr. and Barbara (Stiles) Freund-Clark. Dickie was a Locksmith for Welworth Lock Company and Freund Lock Service for many years, he too was a Handyman for numerous people. He enjoyed racing on the weekends whether it was Go-Cart racing, Indy 500, or NASCAR. His family too was everything to him and he enjoyed his time with them. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Dickie is survived by his loving wife, LuCinda “Cindy” (Taylor) Freund, his children, Jeffrey (Kristin) Freund, Jason Freund, Holly Freund, Taylor Freund, Emily Freund, his 6 grandchildren, his 2 great grandchildren, his stepfather, John Clark, and his brother, Brian (Terri) Freund. He was preceded in death by his parents. At his request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place in the future. Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township is entrusted with his cremation arrangements. The family would like to express their appreciation to Gentiva Hospice, especially his nurse, Whitney, for their excellent care in Dickie’s final days.
