Richard F. Yoder

Richard (Rick) Frederick Yoder, 59, of Indianapolis, IN sadly passed away on February 8, 2023. He valiantly fought his illness for 13 years, participating in several clinical trials.

Rick was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 9, 1963 to parents, Stanley R. and Catherine A. (Meissner) Yoder. Rick graduated from North Central High School in 1981. He earned his first Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Wabash College in 1985, and his second Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Indiana University in 1987.

During his career, Rick worked as a Network Administrator retiring in 2010. He was a charter member of King of Glory Lutheran Church in Carmel, IN. Rick enjoyed being a member of Stonycreek Golf Club in Noblesville, IN for several years. Rick had many hobbies including building computers, playing golf, and reading. He enjoyed traveling to Hilton Head Island, SC to vacation and play golf.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Frederick G. and Ruth E. (Lentz) Meissner; and Noah E. and Mabel B. (DeLong) Yoder.

Rick will be lovingly missed by his family, cousins Kathryn (Meissner) Hedrick (Robert) and John F. Meissner (Tracy); aunt, Sharon (Cullen) Meissner; nieces and nephew, Madeline Hedrick, Caroline Meissner, John Meissner and Jillian Meissner; the Elliott and Hunter Families; and Wendye Craig.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Washington Park North Cemetery (Great Hall Chapel), 2706 Kessler Blvd W. Dr., Indianapolis. Private entombment will follow in Washington Park North Cemetery.
