Richard “Dick” Earl Castetter Sr, 84, Of Indianapolis passed away December 15, 2018.
Dick was born February 24, 1934 in Indianapolis to the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth Castetter.
He graduated from Warren Central High School in 1952 and enlisted in the US Marines in 1954. He retired after over 50 years at Preston/Safeway. He was a long-time member of the Christian Tabernacle, as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge. Although he was an avid sports fan who enjoyed the Pacers and the Colts, his top priority was his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene; brothers Jim and Charles, and sister Dorothy.
Dick is survived by his children Rick (Vanessa) Castetter, Jim (Lurhe) Castetter, Jeff (Shari) Castetter, and Lori (Mark) Walton; grandchildren Cory (Amanda) Castetter, Makenzie (Dave) Emmons, Evan, Emily, Mitch, and Haley Castetter, Lindsay, Megan and Molly Walton; and great-grandchildren Luke, Mercy and Jack Emmons, Madison and Sydney Castetter.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 20th from 4 to 8 PM at Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, December 21st at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
