Richard A Workman, 4002 Knollwood Ave, Franklin, passed away January 28, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 27, 1934 in Indianapolis, IN.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Horrie & Dorothy (Foist) Workman, his wife Joyce, a son, Richard H. Sr. and a grandson, Richard H. Jr, also three brothers, Herman, and twin brothers Donald and Ronald Workman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Workman, son, Jeffrie (Andrea) Workman and daughters, Patsy (Jack) Cooper and Reba McMullen. Also two stepsons, Russell (Kathy) Conaway and Robert (Jennifer) Conaway. Grandchildren include Dennis (Miranda) Cooper, Casey Cooper, Jeremy (Brandi) Workman, Heather (Tom) Henson, William Workman, Angel Pemberton and Devon McMullen. Step grandchildren include Angela (Matt) Pearson, David Conaway (and Carley) and Ciara Conaway. Also 24 great grandchildren & step great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Joann (Glenn) Russell, and several nieces and nephews.
Richard retired from General Motors and after retirement pastored Gospel Assembly Church in Lansing, Mich. for 10 years.
He was a devoted Christian and an avid Bible student. He was also a very loving, caring husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 5 at 1 PM at Gospel Assembly Church, 5809 Bluff Rd, Indianapolis where he attended for many years. Viewing will be from 11 AM until the funeral. There will be no graveside service because of the cold weather conditions.
