Richard A. Pruett

Richard Alan Pruett, 67, of Indianapolis passed away at home with family by his side December 4^th, 2021. He was born January 22^nd, 1954, in Linton, Indiana to Harlan and Joy Modene (nee Murdock) Pruett. 

Rick was born in Linton, IN but grew up in Eagledale / Indianapolis and attended IN public schools #61, 100, 108, Northwest HS ('72), and Ball State U ('77). He worked for Economy Elevator until the business closed, and then as an independent salesman until his health caused him to retire. He was the inveterate salesman; he loved to tell a good story and find the small world connections between people. He made friends everywhere he went. He loved his family and fishing, hunting, growing tomatoes, 4-wheel racing, playing cards, his dogs, telling stories, and tickling his granddaughters.

He leaves behind his wife of 46 years Lisa; son Bryan (Shannon) Pruett; daughter Erin (Wally) Tegegne; brother Robert (Jenifer) Pruett; sister Cheryl (Fred Jensen) Pruett; and his beautiful granddaughters Gabrielle, Annabelle, Charlotte, Sofia, and Sara; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Hal, mother Joy, and brother David. After his father's death at an early age, Rick cared for his mother until her death in 2016. Rick had a lifelong group of friends who enriched his life.

This man was an amazing son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He is loved and will be sorely missed by many.
