Reva M. Horine, 95, Indianapolis, passed away February 2, 2018. She was born March 4, 1922 in Randolph County, the youngest of five children to the late Vinnie and Mary Hinkle. In 1941, Reva married Ralph C. Horine, Jr. and they began their life together in Muncie, Indiana. He preceded her passing on November 15, 2004, after 63 years of marriage.
In 1961, Ralph and Reva moved to Indianapolis where she accepted a job at Tudor Hall School for girls as a ‘woman of all needs’. Three years later she was appointed Business Manager for Park Tudor Schools, and continued until her retirement in 1988. She was an active member of Second Presbyterian Church and The Sages.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Brad (Robin) Thompson and Sondra Mall; four great grandchildren, Kristen Alexander, Amanda Mall, Allison Mall, and Cash Thompson; and one great-great granddaughter, Raelynn Alexander. She was preceded in passing by her two children, David C. Horine and Sharon Kay Thompson.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2018, at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 North Meridian Street. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
