Rebecca “Becky” Sue Mattingly Anness, 70, of Indianapolis Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022. She was born on October 26, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to parents, Frederick E. and Jacqueline (Brothers) Boucher.
Rebecca was a graduate of Warren Central High School. While attending high school she worked as a candy striper at Community East Hospital and was chosen by Indianapolis News to publish her picture in their local paper. After graduating high school Becky then married and had two children. Shortly after, she started working as a cashier and quickly moving into management at Central Hardware where she would work for 25 years.
In addition to spending time with family, friends, and her beloved fur babies, she also enjoyed working in her flower gardens and with her plants. She had a deep passion for her music, singing and writing poetry.
Becky is survived by her two children, Teresa Holaday White (Robert) and David James Holaday; her husband M. Edwin Anness; one sister, Karen Peak (Mike); and 3 Grandchildren, Paige Holaday, Jacob White and Savannah White.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick E. and Jacqueline (Brothers) Boucher.
Visitation will be from 4-5pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229, with a funeral service following at 5pm. Burial will take place at Metamora cemetery at 11am, on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
