Reba Rae Smith,
88, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017. She was born on November 3, 1929 in Dallas, TX as one of 6 children born to the late James Frank and Beulah Mae (Young) Thompson. Reba worked for Stokely Van Camp for 28 years, retiring in 1991. She enjoyed shopping and visiting the Connersville VFW, but her greatest passion in life was caring for and spending time with her family. Reba is survived by daughters, Penne (Phil) Miller and Debby Bright; grandchildren, Phil (Lori) Miller, Jr., Greg Smith, Clint (Teresa) Miller, Todd Bright; great-grandchildren, Austin, Grace, Lila, Laynie. Reba is also survived by several sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Reba will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 2pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or the American Kidney Foundation.
