Raymond "Sonny" E. Whitaker

Raymond E. Whitaker, 86, of Trafalgar, IN, passed away April 16, 2021. He was born June 19, 1934 to the late Raymond and Lucille Parkhurst Whitaker.

Sonny was a wonderful and beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He worked diligently to provide for his family and dedicated over
40 years to General Motors acting in management, and was an Army veteran. He was an amazing fisherman, athlete, coach, and loved hunting and woodworking.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Whitaker; daughter, Dawn Whitaker; son-in-law, Manuel Contreras; and grandchildren, Michael Kean, Nykasa Smith, Rachelle Mirae Whitaker, Marisa Whitaker, Jadyn Suraya Whitaker, and Jesse Contreras.

He is preceded in passing by his parents; sister, Patricia Bundy; and brother, Jimmy Dale Whitaker.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends are invited to make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.

Arrangements entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park. Sonny will be laid to rest at Memorial Park
cemetery.
