Rashaad was born to Theodore C. Johnson and Elizabeth A. Daniels on September 13, 1995. He attended Herron High School, continuing into higher education at Arizona State University, working toward a degree as a Herpetologist. Rashaad was a loving, caring, gentle free spirit. At the age of 4, he was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. Although it was tough news for the family, he didn’t allow it to hinder him or affect who he was. He remained a happy child and started his lifetime of sports. His journey began at St. Alban’s as a baseball player at the age of 6. He continued his love of sports with Flag Football, Football (Quarterback), Basketball, Bowling, Lacrosse and Soccer. Of all of these, he loved Soccer the most and continued playing until God called him home.
Rashaad was a well-rounded person. He loved animals and reptiles. In fact, Rashaad kept a collection of Lizards, Packman Frogs and Club Tailed Geckos. He also loved music, skating, dancing and was known as ‘DJ Fudge’. He also loved fishing with his dad and daughter. Rashaad had his own style, which he affectionately called ‘groovy’.
Rashaad worked many years as a DJ for weddings & parties. He also worked long term at a Call Center and followed with Cultivator positions.
Rashaad loved his family, his mom, whom he talked to every single day on her lunch break, his dad and brothers. He also was very connected to his aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was greatly loved by both his grandmothers and talked to his maternal grandmother long & often before her transition. Rashaad was a great father and loved his children Leilani and Noah. Leilani shared the same diabetes diagnosis as her dad. He spent time with her, hanging out, fishing, dinners and teaching her how to take care of her health.
Rashaad had lots of friends, from his Pediatrician, to his community of friends here in Indianapolis and Arizona.
