Randy Glen Westerman

Randy Glen Westerman, 54, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

He was born on November 6, 1962 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Glen and Geneva (Bates) Westerman. Randy was a graduate of Cutter Morning Star High School in Hot Springs and attended Garland County Community College. He moved to Indianapolis and worked for Hoosier Park Racing and Casino for several years before starting at CNO Financial in Carmel, where Randy has worked for the last 10 years. He loved to garden and landscape and was a talented carpenter; always helping friends with odd jobs at their own homes. Randy enjoyed to travel with friends and spent a memorable vacation in Miami; he was always the life of the party.

He is survived by his mother; daughter, Sommer Stehling; sisters, Glenda (John) Golden and Teresa Helton; nephews, Chris (Heather) Meseke and Chase (Samantha) Helton; niece, Krystal Sims; and 8 great-nieces and nephews. Randy is also survived by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father; and nephew, Jason Teague.

A Celebration of Randy’s Life will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan- Memorial Park at 2pm, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Additional services will be held in Hot Springs, Arkansas at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to the American Lung Association or the Damien Center.
