Randall Leon Miller

Randall Leon Miller, age 66 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024. 

Beloved son, father, gandfather, brother and uncle, Randy was born on June 5, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Donald and Alice (Dawson) Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents; his mother Alice preceding him in February of this year. 

He is survived by one son, Matthew Miller of Indianapolis, two grandchildren, Joplin Miller (5), Jett Miller (3) and long time family members Lesley Padgett and her family. 

He was the first born of three children and is survived by his two younger sisters, Donnita Smith and Darla Miller, as well as two nieces, Andrea Smith and Kara Smith, all of Indianapolis. 

Randy grew up on Indianapolis’ Southside in Southport, graduating from Southport High School in the class of 1976. After high school he trained to be a licensed welder. 

As a young man, Randy began a longtime career at General Devices working his way up to Department Supervisor until his retirement in 2022. 

Randy enjoyed many activities but especially loved fishing. He enjoyed golfing with his dad and son, watching movies and cheering on any Indiana team that was playing. 

He had a quick wit and a quip for any situation. He will be greatly missed. 

Cremation Rites have been accorded. A celebration of Randy’s life will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to local parks and recreation areas or a charity of your choice.
