Ramona Everly Hinesley, 98 of Indianapolis, IN passed away November 28, 2020. She was born on April 17, 1922 in Merom, IN to the late Fallis Edwin and Sarah Daphne (Hoesman) Ward. Ramona graduated from Shelburn (IN) High School and attended Indiana State University. She married Harold LaVern Everly on August 8, 1942 and travelled the world with him while he was in the service. Ramona worked for the Metropolitan School District of Decatur Township and retired after 20 years as Secretary at Stephen Decatur Elementary School. Many years after Harold passed away, she married John T. (Jack) Hinesley on April 30, 2005 and enjoyed many more years of marriage. Ramona was a member of the West Newton United Methodist Church and loved travelling, playing table games and cards with family and playing in Euchre and Samba clubs with friends. She also loved music and played piano. Most recently Ramona enjoyed coloring and word searches. She loved her family, was grateful for the friends God put in her life and will be truly missed by all who loved and knew her. Ramona is survived by her second husband, John T. (Jack) Hinesley, her son, Ward K. (Nancy) Everly, son-in-law Don Shahan, Stepchildren, John (Jo) Hinesley, Margie Hinesley, Kathy Arauco, Jane Talsma, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold LaVern Everly, a daughter, LaMona Kay (Don) Shahan and sister, Doris Elaine (Frank) Zenor. Due to COVID-19 and current local restrictions for the number of people who can attend the service will be private. She will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
