Raj Singhal

Dr. Raj B. Singhal, 71, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Tuesday, Nov 30, 2021. He was born in December 1949 in New Delhi, India.

He graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1972, which is the most prestigious Engineering school in India. Later, he pivoted careers and completed a PhD in Business Accounting from University of South Carolina, Columbia. He taught accounting for 20+ years at various universities and colleges across the country. He was passionate about teaching and was admired by his students. Outside teaching, he enjoyed chess, bridge, tennis and racquetball.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anjana and had a daughter, Manisha and a grandson, Shiv. He is dearly missed by his wife, family and friends. He touched many lives as an educator and a true friend. He will be remembered for his generosity and helpful nature.
