Polly Christine Land

Polly Christine Land, 100, of Bushnell, FL passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in Sumterville, FL. She was born in Scottsville, Kentucky to Bud and Maria Wood. She was a member of Cross Connection Church and The Red Hats Society. She was a former 46 year resident of Indianapolis and worked for Land’s Electric in Indianapolis for 42 years. Polly’s love for her family was undeniable. Her family was her number one priority. Polly had so much love to give to everyone. She was described as a “loving” spirit. She will be missed sorely by all of the lives she touched.

She is survived by daughter: Mary Lou Nelson of Bushnell, FL; sisters: Stella Elmore, of Scottsville, KY; Patsy Jean Turk of Scottsville, KY; brothers: Willie Wood of Indianapolis, IN; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Land; son, Jerry Nelson Land; and brothers, Lee Allen Wood, Ray Wood, Cecil Wood. At the time of passing, Polly was survived by her brother, Rondal Wood (Barbara) of Scottsville, KY, who since passed away this Friday, June 15, 2018.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 2-4PM at Flanner Buchanan—Floral Park. A service will follow at 4PM. Polly will be laid to rest next to her husband at Floral Park Cemetery.
