Phyllis Radice

Phyllis Radice, age 77, of Carmel, IN, formerly of Bloomfield, New Jersey passed away on November 3, 2018. Phyllis was born in Ashley, PA on February 28, 1941 to parents, Charles and Margaret (Babula) Evanchyk. She graduated from Ashley High School and went on to earn her registered nursing degree from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing. Phyllis worked her entire career as a pediatric nurse at Columbus Hospital in Newark, NJ until her retirement in 2008. Dedicated to her profession and patients, Phyllis was honored with the Marie Pescatore Award for Nursing Excellence at Columbus Hospital in 1995.

Phyllis was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Bloomfield New Jersey. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards with her friends, visiting casinos, talking and spending time with her friends from nursing school, crocheting, and admiring her beautiful flowers.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Fiore Radice; parents, Charles and Margaret; and her six siblings: Charlie, Marie, John “Johnnie”, and Michael, Evanchyk, Margaret “Peggy” Andrews, and Barbara King.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Dawn M. Neumann (fiancé, Nathan Randall); as well as her many loving extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Sunrise on Old Meridian in Carmel, IN. A Catholic Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Thomas the Apostle in Bloomfield, NJ.
