Phyllis P. Clear of Brownsburg passed away January 11, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 94. Phyllis was born August 21, 1924 in Frankfort, Indiana to the late Daniel and A. Clare Phillippe. She worked as a layout operator for Western Electric for many years. Her hobbies included gardening, cross stitch, solving a word search, bowling, and playing cards with her late husband and friends. She was a Hoosier at heart and loved Indiana basketball, especially the Pacers and could most likely answer any trivia question during the Reggie Miller days. She will be remembered as mini but mighty, always open to trying new things, and having a heart of gold. She is survived by her children Robert Lynn Woodruff (Judy) and Linda Davis (David); grandchildren Tammy Smith (Greg), Lori Fowler (Scott), Christina White (Matt), Angela Hastings (Russell), Brian Davis (Lauren), and Erick Schluter (Wendy); 12 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; siblings Edith Beatty, John Phillippe, Joyce Robbins, and Doris Barber, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband David W. Clear and siblings Mary Caroline Claudy, Charles Phillippe, Bill Phillippe, and Marytha Clear. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 20 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis. Funeral Services will follow at 1 PM in the funeral home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband David at Washington Park East Cemetery.
