Phyllis Nell Elliott

Phyllis Nell (Burket) Elliott was born in Tipton, Indiana on January 21, 1933 and passed away peacefully among family on January 11, 2023, just 10 days shy of her 90^th birthday.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Ora Max Elliott; her parents, Don and Julia Burket; siblings, Donald Burket, Joyce (Burket) Clore, Richard Burket and Robert Burket.

She is survived by her children, Terri Thurston (Doug) and Ora Kevin Elliott (Haven); grandchildren, Alyse, Mallory (Brady), Isaac, Eva, Samuel; and great-grandchildren, Orie and Jack.

Phyllis worked for over 30 years at Eastwood Middle School. She loved working puzzles, watching college basketball and game show network, but her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 4-7pm at Flanner Buchanan – Broad Ripple.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 2pm at Ames Chapel UMC in Paoli, Indiana, with visitation 1 hour prior at the church.  Phyllis will be laid to rest with her husband in Ames Chapel Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
