Phyllis L Wright

Phyllis Lucille Wright, 83, of Indianapolis, was called to heaven on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Phyllis was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on September 5, 1934 to Wayne and Juanita Watkins. In March of 1964 Phyllis married her devoted husband, Robert Wright, Sr.. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt to many. As her children grew, she would coach her daughters softball teams. She enjoyed bowling at All Star Bowl with her gals, playing cards, reading, sewing, and made the BEST peanut butter fudge on the East side of Indianapolis. Even though she was a professional baker, retiring from Kolosterman Bakery after 25 years, she would still bake delicious treats for her friends and family often. Phyllis was an active member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Wright, Sr.; parents, Wayne and Juanita Watkins; daughter, Kathy Ford and her son Robert Wright, Jr.; as well as her sister Azalea Clark.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters, Sharon Walker, Cindy (Curt) Murphy, Tina Wright and spouse Brenda Martin; sister, Adeline Fantini; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her precious dog Princess and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, on Sat., June 23, 2018 at 1pm with a visitation two hours prior. Burial: Floral Park Cemetery.
