Phyllis Joye Thacker

Phyllis Joye Thacker, age 73, of Sulphur Springs passed away on July 27, 2017. She was born July 1, 1944 in Glasgow, KY to Jeff and Dorotha Dyer. Phyllis was a graduate of The Four Star Beauty College in Indianapolis, where she received her cosmetology degree. She later worked many years for Amoco Oil. She was an avid peach tea drinker and cherished time spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving to cherish her memory is her Aunt, Virginia Lyons, partner in life, Andy Simpson, daughters, Trina Challman, Kimberly KaFoure, Melissa (Leigh) McBride, April (Paul) Hood, Tiffany (Donnie) Diefenderfer, 8 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, 2 great-grandsons, and 1 great-granddaughter.

Friends may visit from 4-8 PM Monday, July 31 at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis. Services will be held August 1 at 1 PM at the funeral home.
