Phyllis Jayne Spry Oliphant passed away peacefully at her home on May 19, 2021 while in the care of her daughters. Phyllis was born on March 22, 1937, daughter to Eleanor Kentner and Elmer Spry. She is survived by Sister Irene Lasiter.
She was married for a time to Robert Oliphant, with whom she had four children, Katherine Holmes, husband Brent Holmes, Thomas Oliphant, Margaret Oliphant, and Abednego P. Oliphant (Ben).
Grandchildren Abednego T. Oliphant, wife Kristen Oliphant, Christine Towey, husband James Towey, Brian Oliphant, wife Courtney Oliphant, Stephanie Phillips, husband John Phillips, Jennifer Harris, Jason Holmes, and four Great-grandchildren.
Phyllis has a great sense of humor, remembered ALL the special dates, had a sense of adventure and was a world traveler. Phyllis was fun and good to know.
She was known for her managerial skills in the Hospitality Industry. She worked at many venues to include The Garage, The Alley Cat, and the Knights of Columbus, all of which earned her much respect and many, many friends.
Phyllis was a member of The JUGS club at Washington High School, where she graduated in 1954 and did her part with The Camp Fire Girls, The Girl Scouts, and The Boy Scouts.
Phyllis was a member of Millersville Earner Star, Chapter #300, Past Matron 1985, formerly with Nettie Ransford #464.
Phyllis was a loving mother and a solid friend and will be missed by all.
