Phillip R. Moos, 94, passed away December 23, 2018. Born on April 27, 1924, Phil was a lifelong resident of Indianapolis and a graduate of Cathedral High School. He served in the US Coast Guard during World War II in the Pacific Theater as a radar operator on the Coast Guard Cutter Taney. He was skilled pattern maker with several notable patterns.

Phil married Rose Marie Lutz in August of 1947. They had six children: Marilyn, Lory, Ginny, Cathy, Larry, and Julie. Upon Rose Marie’s passing, Phil met and married Dorothy J. Cowell in July 1980. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

Calling will be held from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan- Broad Ripple. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Church, 5884 Crittenden Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46220, on December 28, 2018, at 10am. Entombment will be at Cavalry Cemetery, 435 W. Troy Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46225.
