Peter Stokes Frazier, 74, most recently of Fishers, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2019. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 21, 1944 to William and Gail Frazier and grew up in Newtown Square, PA. He was predeceased by his son Garth Stokes Frazier; his parents; and brother, William Frazier, Jr. Peter is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret Perry Frazier, originally of Hampden, Maine; daughter, Molly (Frazier) Macke and her husband, Nathaniel Macke; grandchildren, Francis and Maisie Macke; and sisters-in-law: Barbara Perry, and Donna M. Perry of Marietta, Georgia
After transferring from the Air Force Academy, Peter was a 1968 graduate of the University of Maine, Orono. He graduated with a degree in Forestry and began his 45 year career in chemical sales and management, which took him throughout the US and around world. Over the years, Peter and his family lived in Bainbridge, NY, Mequon, WI, Fayetteville, NY, Louisville, KY, Glen Ellyn, IL, until his work took him across the pond. After living abroad in England and Australia, Peter and Margaret settled in Hampden, Maine where they lived until relocating to Indiana in 2017 to be closer to their grandchildren.
Peter was an avid golfer and enjoyed discussing politics. He was extremely handy around the home and an accomplished woodworker. Peter filled his retirement years with reading and spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a member of the Hampden Planning Board. Peter was dubbed the “rock” of the family, for his unyielding support and guidance as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 11am in St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 15176 Blessed Mother Blvd. Fishers, IN 46037.
