Peggy June Woods

Peggy June Woods, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017. She was born on March 10, 1930 in Brown County, IN to the late Jacob and Freda (Percifield) Kennedy. Peggy was a 1948 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. She enjoyed shopping at Goodwill and cooking Sunday dinner for her family; she was famous for her Mac & Cheese. Peggy was also an active member of Glenns Valley United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, Peggy (Ron) Wheeler, Mike (Trish) Riley, Denise Stephens and Kim Delk; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Peggy is also survived by her sister, Betty Abbett. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emery Woods; son, Jeff Woods; 4 sisters and 1 brother.

No services will be scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made to Peggy’s church, the Glenns Valley United Methodist Church. Cremation services entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park.
