Peggy Joan Hiserote

Peggy Joan Hiserote, age 69, of Carmel, IN, passed away September 20, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born July 25, 1953 in Peoria, IL, the middle of seven children born to Roger David Hiserote and Jessie Joan Tokheim Hiserote. She graduated from Valparaiso University with a degree in Business Administration and then earned her CPA. She worked part time at Carmel Lutheran Church while raising her children. She then worked at CNO Financial until her retirement. Peggy enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Roger Hiserote, and her oldest brother, Craig Hiserote. Survivors include children, Adam Hornung, Brian Hornung and Kathryn Bontrager (Luke); mother, Jessie Hiserote; siblings, Janie Hiserote (Phillip Stumbo), Kim Hiserote (Linda), Brian Hiserote (Debbie), Dana Hiserote, and Kevin Hiserote (Laura); grandchildren, Reagan, Emma and Micah Bontrager.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

A Celebration of Life Open House will be held Saturday, October 8th from 4-7PM at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 10655 Haverstick Rd, Carmel, IN 46033, in Social Halls B102-B103. Enter through Entrance 4 or 6.
