Pegeen Lee “Peggie” Rosales was born a twin on September 24, 1949 in Braham, MN to the late Bert O. and Ruth G. (Kline) Brown.
Peggie, raised in Minnesota, worked from a young age of 9 in a truck stop diner her parents owned. At the age of 17, she met her husband Rey Rosales in Minnesota. They soon married and moved to Saginaw, MI, eventually residing in Dallas, TX. Peggie finally planted her feet in Indianapolis, IN where she graduated with honors from Arsenal Technical High School, class of 1977. She was also a graduate of Indiana Barber College. Peggie worked several jobs but found her specialty in the income tax industry as a Tax Professional at HR Block. She worked for them seasonally for 30 years, all while juggling a full-time job at RCA in the early 80’s and Sonitrol in the late 80’s. Peggie finally retired from Community Hospital in the 90’s. She fought the battle of Breast Cancer for 11 years and conquered it to enjoy the past 2 years with her best friend and husband Rey. They were inseparable, enjoying cruises, casinos, yard sales, antique malls and jigsaw puzzles.
Peggie is survived by her beloved husband, Reynaldo “Rey” Rosales; 3 children, Daniel Rosales and his wife, Lori Deckard, Stacey Galindo, Shelley Rosales White and her husband, Steven White. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Maile, Elijah, Kiron, Gabriela, Alexis, Alyson, Alivia, Rysil, Adriana; and 2 great-grandsons, Cruz and Velzy Mateo.
Peggie leaves behind her 3 sisters, Judy Johnston, RuthAnn Shackelford and Jane ‘Toni’ Thomas; along with 16 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and David Brown.
