Pearlene Howard, 75, of Indianapolis entered eternal rest on September 24, 2018.
She was born August 27, 1943 in Cinda, Kentucky to Coy and Ellen Sizemore Baker. She married her High School sweetheart Edmond in Kentucky where they started their family by adding a daughter Shelia. After moving to Indianapolis, they added to their family with son Mark. She spent her career as a homemaker and as the Food Service Clerk for IPS Schools. She was very caring and always put others before herself. She especially enjoyed making others happy with food. Her family meant the world to her, and she cherished every moment she could spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pearlene is survived by her children Shelia Minor (Tony) and Mark Howard (Leisa); siblings Rose Pennington (Carl), Billie Jean Causey (Clarence), Herman Baker (Leona), Dennis Baker (Juanita), Fern Wooton, Bobby Baker (Kathy) and Christine Collins (Clyde); grandchildren Dustin Minor (Kerri), Brandon Minor, Tabitha Van Oosterwyk (Jerry), and Brittany Anderson (Samuel); great-grandchildren Raeghen Minor, Sawyer Minor, Savannah Minor, Andrew Minor, Kaylee Van Oosterwyk, Kendall Van Oosterwyk, William Anderson and Clara Anderson, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edmond Howard.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 29 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St, Indianapolis with Funeral Services beginning at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
