Pauline Satterfield, 91, of Indianapolis passed away on December 27, 2020. She was born in Bristol, Tennessee to the late William and Della Leonard on December 19, 1929. Later in life, she fell in love with her late husband, Charles, and she moved to Indianapolis to start a life with him. Pauline could be remembered for her gentle nature. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and riding on the back of the motorcycle with her husband. In her earlier years, she loved to do her yardwork and plant flowers. She would often take walks with her neighbor. Most of all, Pauline loved being a mom and a grandma—family was most important to her. She will be missed sorely by all the lives she has touched.
Pauline is survived by her loving children, Sam (Ginny) Satterfield and Pat Satterfield; her sister, Averlee (the late Bill) Jones; her 4 grandchildren; her 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pauline is preceded in death by parents; her beloved husband, Charles S. Satterfield; her siblings, Vester (Atre) Leonard, Ethel (Bill) Merritte, Virginia (John) Cionowicz, Dorothy (Cecil) Vest, Martha (John) Allen, and Mamie (Don) Fogleson.
Services are in the care of Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East. Pauline will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery next to her late husband, Charles. For an online obituary and video tribute, please visit www.flannerbuchanan.com
