Pauline “Polly” Hattiex, AKA: Popo/Fox, of Indianapolis, IN passed away December 30, 2018. Polly was born May 23, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN to Henry S. and Emma Hill Hattiex. Polly attended George Washington High School, where she was a member of the Marching Band. She attended Kentucky State University and IUPUI.
Polly was a long-time member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She gave 32 years of service to the State of Indiana; beginning with the Indiana Dept. of Revenue, later with the Dept. of Workforce Development, formerly known as Employment Security. Polly also worked as a Dietician Assistant for Methodist Hospital and in the Paul Harris billing dept.
Polly enjoyed working in her garden, traveling, taking family pictures, dancing, watching all types of sports. She loved music, cooking, dogs and horses-frequenting the race tracks, and puzzles.
Always eager to lend a helping hand, Polly volunteered for several organizations.
Polly was preceded in death by parents; brother, Billy A. Hattiex and a sister, Christine M. Crear. Left behind to cherish her memory are: sister, Patricia (Sissy) Hattiex, Peggy Hattiex-Penn, brother, George (Hank) Hattiex and wife Mavis of Beloit, WI, many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-niece and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd, West Drive, Indianapolis on January 7, 2019 from 11-12 with a service immediately following. Burial will be at Washington Park North Cemetery.
