Pauline "Polly "Grace Johnson, 93, of Fishers and Sarasota went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2017. She was born in Riverside, NY to the late Vernon and Grace Ayers . She married the love of her life July 12, 1947. They shared a beautiful life together for over 70 years. Bert and Polly would renew their vows every year on Siesta Key Beach. A sweet soul who loved to volunteer, her legacy is with her son David (Wilai) Johnson and daughter Janice (John) Snell and grandchildren Sam (Greta) Snell, Carly (Joey) Thomas, Logan Snell, Auy and Ong Johnson, great-grandchild Zoey Snell.
Polly's artistic and creative spirit always portrayed her admiration for the world, in its simplistic beauty. Her passion for the arts/crafts and sewing won her many blue ribbons. There was no project too difficult for Polly. Her patience and detail for all things "artsy" colored the canvas of her life.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Indiana Nature Conservancy or IU Hospice. Graveside services are Thursday, June 15 at 10:00am at the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held later this summer. As Polly would say "A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck."
