Pauline (Nibbs) Freeman

Pauline Nibbs Freeman was born December 11, 1942, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.  Pauline’s parents were Abner Nibbs, Jr., and Ceola Wade Nibbs.  Her parents moved from Chicago, Illinois to Indianapolis, Indiana with their other children at an early age.  Pauline received her education at Wendell Phillips (63) grade school and Crispus Attucks High School.  Pauline confessed her faith in the Lord and joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers Board.  Pauline was united in Holy Matrimony to Virgil Leroy Freeman, Jr. (who preceded her in death) and out of this union they had two children, Tymon Allen Freeman (who preceded her in death) and Shelley Williams.  Pauline was employed twenty-seven years with the Western Electric Corporation before retiring.  After retiring she worked a short time for the State.  Pauline touched many lives in different ways.  No one on earth is perfect, but we are all here to interact with one another. The Lord uses his children to touch the lives of others, he provides us with the ability to choose which direction we desire to take in life.  Pauline had a loving spirit, and she would go out of her way to see that others were well provided for before taking care of herself; she had an awesome giving nature and that was her calling (to take care of others).  Pauline always had a great time with her family and friends, she could brighten up a sad situation, but she was very stern.  Pauline was a Generous in giving and a great Provider.  On Friday, January 14, 2022, Pauline departed this life, she is now with her comforter.  No more pain, no more sorrow, just joy and peace.  Pauline leaves to cherish her memories: Shelly Williams (daughter); Noah Williams, Tymon Freeman, Jr., Tyrus Freeman, Tryan Freeman (grandsons) and Xiomara Freeman (great granddaughter); sisters and brothers, David Nibbs (Connie), Earline Nibbs, Sharon Nibbs, Gregory Nibbs, Beverly Winters (Reggie) and a host of relatives and friends.  Visitation will be Monday, January 24, 2022, from 11 am to 1 pm with a funeral service at 1 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park.  Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
