Paula Jean Oliver

Paula Jean “Mamaw” Oliver, 55, passed away in Indianapolis with family at her side on November 20, 2022. She was born December 4th, 1966. Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us.

Paula was a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others. As a mother she was loving and kind. Paula, or Mamaw, as all her grandchildren would call her, was very patient and gentle when it came to all of them. Paula devoted many years with each grandchild pouring all her love into each and every one of them. The last year Paula was able to do just what she loved most, spending every day with her grandchild(ren), going on walks, playing at the park, and watching them grow right in front of her.

Paula is survived by her husband and partner in life for 25 years Judd Thomas Oliver; her parents Sarah (Joe) Fine; her children Robert (Candace) Fink, Zachary (Kendra) Fink, and Joshua (Kayla) Oliver; her brother John Alan (Janet) Marshall; sister Patricia Marshall; and grandchildren Emma (15), DJ (11), Corbin (11), Isaac (1½), Jaxon (2 mos.), and all her future beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Brian Thomas and granddaughter Morgan (13).

From her beloved sons:

“Your hug meant the world. Nobody else held me so tight, or made me feel so right. No one’s eyes shined so bright with love as my moms, who is now high above.”

Services will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township on Kentucky Ave in Indianapolis for those who would like to say their last goodbye to Paula on the 29th of November. Family members will be able to spend time together and share stories amongst each other from 3-5pm and open to the public for anyone Paula might have impacted with her loving spirit from 5-7pm.

In lieu of flowers, any financial contributions may be placed in the collection box during visitation hours to help with funeral expenses and the survived grandchild Paula graciously cared for.
