Paula J. Ehrhardt

Paula J. Ehrhardt passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Geneva, Illinois on January 4, 2023 at the age of 91.

She was born March 10, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio to George L. and Nellie (Glessner) Muench.

Paula was a 1950 graduate of Shortridge High School.  She went on to attend the John Herron Art Institute. In addition to being a mom, she spent her career as an administrative assistant in the banking industry.

Paula was a former member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church and also volunteered at the local hospital putting her knitting talents to work making prayer shawls, comfort pillows for children and slippers for the homeless. She was a talented figure skater and performed with the Ice Follies.  But most of all she loved being a mom, grandma, and great grandma.

She is survived by her sons David L. Ehrhardt, James A. Ehrhardt (Abby), and John E. Ehrhardt (Dee); grandchildren Ian Ehrhardt (Lauren), Evan Ehrhardt, McKenzie Ehrhardt (Valonne), Annelise Ehrhardt, Tess Ehrhardt Pinon (Roger), Emma Ehrhardt, Hannah Ehrhardt, and Haley Ehrhardt-Capek (Michael); and great-grandchildren Odin, Indiana, Audra, and Zoe on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 11 from 12-1 PM with Funeral Services beginning at 1 PM in Flanner Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave, Indianapolis.  She will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery.
