Paula Earlene Easley

Paula E. Lewellyn Easley age 79, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2017 in Avon, IN. Paula graduated from Shortridge High School in 1955. She was born to Martha and Earl Lewellyn, who proceed her in death, and raised in Indianapolis, IN. She is also preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Walter D. Easley, who passed away in 2010. She is survived by her sisters Myrna Loucks, Carolyn Wiley, and Patricia (Loren) Smith; her children Teresa (Matt) Calvert, Kevin (Romina) Easley, Laura (Steve) Andrzejewski, Sharon (Kevin) Smith; Sister-in-law Billie Coates; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and best friend for more than 70 years, Donna Haddix.

Paula was a homemaker and was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church for over 50 years and current member of Avon United Methodist Church. She enjoyed raising her children, singing in the church choir, traveling, teaching Sunday School, and participating in a multitude of Church Ministries throughout her life. She loved performing in the Wesley United Methodist Church Community Theater productions such as, Arsenic and Old Lace and was an entertaining performer. More than anything she loved her family, her friends, her church, God, and life. She will be missed beyond words. She was a giving person that always wanted to make people feel special. She'll be remembered for the joy she brought to our lives and all the occasions that were celebrated with good food, special place settings, good humor and love.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to her niece and caregiver, Jo Lynn Oates, Dr. Stanley Givens, Dr. Robert Manges, Dr. Stephen Eberwine, Dr. William Gill, and Dr. April Johnson. Most of all we'd like to thank our sister and brother-in-law Teresa (Matt) Calvert for the wonderful home, love, and care they provided the last 11 years of mom's life.

A memorial service will be held on June 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Avon United Methodist Church 6850 E. US Highway 36, Avon, IN, 46123. Interment in West Ridge Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
