Paul W Shumard

Paul W. Shumard, 65, of Zionsville, passed away on February 7, 2018. He was born on May 31, 1952 in Madison, Wisconsin to Raymond and Mildred Shumard.

Paul was a very active member of his church, St. Alphonsus Liguori in Zionsville, and sang in the church choir.  He had an encyclopedic knowledge of history and appreciated art and classical music.

After graduating with a bachelors in biology, he worked for Dow Agrosciences in Zionsville for many years.

He was preceded in passing by his father, Dr. Raymond Shumard, and his sister, Julie Shumard.

He is survived by his mother, Mildred Shumard; and his siblings, Alan (Patricia) Shumard, Mark (Dawn) Shumard, Eric (Karen Carmichael) Shumard, Rita (Michael) Hargesheimer, Beth Kochell, James Shumard, Christine (Daryl) Sauer, Laura Carrion, and Lynne (Ronald) Reuter.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W Pine St., from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Liguori Roman Catholic Church, 1870 W Oak St., at 11:00 a.m. Placement will take place in Florida, at a later date.
