Paul Leroy Young

Paul Leroy Young, 77, Frankfort, passed away April 10, 2017. He was born September 17, 1939, in Alicia, Arkansas, the son of the late Aristo Beuller Young and Evelyn Arlene (Baney) McGonigal. He married Berta Rail on May 29, 1959. She preceded him in passing February 16, 2014.

Paul proudly served in the United States Army from 1956 until 1960. He retired as an independent contractor for his trucking business. He enjoyed classic cars, and showing his 1951 Chevy at car shows.

He is survived by two daughters, Theresa Brummett and Dody Gwaltney and her husband David; two grandchildren, James Spelbring and his wife Kari and Alicia McAdams; two great grandchildren, Skylar and Carter; and siblings, Linda Mann, Eva Davidson, Gary McGonigal, Glenda Smith, Patricia Leezer, and Rick McGonigal.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Flanner and Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Road. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
